29 Automations

Automated value creation with all DMG MORI machines

DMG MORI will be demonstrating the automation solutions that are already available today on 29 out of 45 EMO exhibits. The new WH Flex and PH-AGV 50 automation solutions afford maximum flexibility. With its modular construction, WH Flex can be tailored individually to the customer and link up to 9 lathes or milling machines. The PH-AGV 50 driverless transport system moves independently on the shop floor and provides even more flexible production processes and unrestricted access to the machines. Through its free layout design and simple expansion options, the AGV system can also be integrated effortlessly even into existing production areas. The DMG MORI Cell Controller optimizes all production processes.

Integrated Digitization

Intelligent services and applications with integral connectivity for networked production

Actively shaping the digital future: Over 30 digital innovations live in Hall 2. For DMG MORI “connectivity” constitutes one of the core features on the path to the Digital Factory. DMG MORI connectivity facilitates secure networking both of DMG MORI machines and selected machines from other manufacturers. All internationally established protocols, such as MQTT, MTconnect and OPC UA, as well as the new umati language, are supported. Also, connection to all important IoT platforms, such as ADAMOS, MindSphere, FANUC Field, as well as others, facilitates DMG MORI connectivity. With a PLC-independent CELOS update from all existing to the newest versions, we are offering new functions, for example the new APPLICATION CONNECTOR, which visualizes every proprietary customer application directly via the CELOS interface. With CELOS, DMG MORI has a consistent digitization strategy at all levels of the value chain – from planning and preparation through production to monitoring and service.

Maximum customer benefit is also the focus of the new digital customer portal my DMG MORI. DMG MORI brings together the expectations of its future-oriented initiatives “Integrated Digitization”, “First Quality” and “Customer First”. The result is a unique online portal for interactive cooperation between DMG MORI and its customers. Among other things service requests can in future be started virtually at the press of a button via my DMG MORI. Whereby the interactive request form prevents any misunderstandings. Specific service requests and optionally attached photos or videos now immediately reach the right DMG MORI service expert, while the “Tracking & Tracing” function ensures transparency for all service processes and procedures. Even orders for spare parts can be tracked down to the exact minute.

Open process chain from material cycle to simulation and on through to service and consulting

In the ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING field, as a global full liner DMG MORI will be presenting the unique versatility of its consistent and open process chains. At the EMO, DMG MORI will be showing SLM technology both in conjunction with an upstream milling process and with a downstream turn & mill process. This is how the advantages of the high complexity of additively produced components are combined with precise CNC production for integrated solutions. The innovative OPTOMET software simplifies and also speeds up the determination of ideal process parameters.
